Real Life

There’s room for the part of your story you’re still figuring out.

Some days call for honest reflection. Others bring questions about faith, the tenderness of family life, or the need to begin again. You don’t have to arrive with an answer.

This is a space to slow down, name what feels real, and leave a little room for hope.

The whole of life belongs here.

Our stories don’t stay in separate boxes. The ordinary days, our relationships, our questions, and our growth keep meeting each other.

Real life, without the polished ending

A hard day doesn’t need a silver lining before it can be spoken about. Honest reflection can start with something as simple as, “This is harder than I expected.” You can be grateful for parts of your life and still need space to name what hurts.

Faith that makes room for questions

Christian hope doesn’t have to sound like certainty about every circumstance. Prayer can hold confusion as well as gratitude. There is room to ask God difficult questions without rushing yourself toward words you don’t mean.

Family beyond the perfect picture

Motherhood and family life can hold deep affection and real exhaustion in the same day. Small moments of listening, an apology, or a fresh start can matter more than getting everything right. Love need not look effortless to be genuine.

Growth at a human pace

Moving forward may look like asking for help, choosing a boundary, or taking a rest you’ve been putting off. A difficult day does not erase the steps behind you. You’re allowed to move carefully.

Encouragement without pressure

You don’t owe anyone a triumphant version of your story. For today, perhaps hope is simply leaving open the possibility that this moment is not the whole picture.

A question to sit with: What would it feel like to tell the truth about today without apologizing for it?

Am I Failing at Parenting, or Am I Just Human?

Can we talk about parenting for a minute? Because this week has tested me in ways I wasn’t prepared for. Tuesday, I woke up so sick I could barely lift my head. My chest was burning, my body felt horrible, and I had to miss work. Something I absolutely hate doing. Wednesday, I was trying…

  • Success is not giving up

How do you define success in life? I think society has made success out to be something much bigger and more complicated than it really is. We’re taught that success looks like having money, a nice house, a good career, and all the things that make life look perfect from the outside. But honestly, that’s…

  • Scotland’s National Animal is a Unicorn

What’s a completely useless fact you love sharing? Scotland’s official national animal is a unicorn. But there’s more to this fun fact than just a little magic. The unicorn has represented Scotland for centuries, and symbolizes strength, purity, independence, and power. Even more interesting? Scotland’s royal unicorn is traditionally pictured wearing a gold chain because…
