Welcome to Grace in the Mess: A Place for Moms Walking Through It All
Hey there, mama! If you’re reading this, you’re probably feeling a little lost, a little tired, or maybe even a little overwhelmed. You might be sitting in the midst of a mountain of laundry, knee-deep in dirty diapers, or wondering if you’ll ever get a minute of quiet to yourself. Maybe you're a mom who’s feeling the weight of what it means to be called to stay home with your kids, but you're also wondering, Is this really all there is? The days feel long, the nights even longer, and you’re starting to wonder, Will I ever feel like I’m doing this right?
We get it. We’ve been there. Heck, we’re still there. The truth is, motherhood is messy—physically, mentally, and emotionally. But you’re not alone, mama. This space is for you.
Who We Are
Hi! We’re Ashlynne and Hannah. We’re two mamas just like you—doing our best to juggle dirty diapers, meal prep, and all the beautiful, chaotic moments that come with raising our little ones. We have two boys between us, and we absolutely love all things homesteading, Jesus, and—above all—motherhood. But don’t let the highlight reel fool you. We’re here to be real. We’re here to get messy.
Right now, as we sit here reflecting on how good the Lord has been in the middle of all our chaos, we just want to tell you: You are seen, you are loved, and you are not alone. If you’re tired, if you’re unsure, if you’re feeling like you’re just not enough, we get it. And we want you to know this is a safe place for you to breathe, cry, laugh, and find the encouragement you need.
This is Grace in the Mess
What does that even mean, “Grace in the Mess”? To us, it’s all about the beauty of finding God’s grace in the middle of life’s most chaotic moments. It’s in the moments where you don’t feel like you can keep going. It’s in the middle of your toddler’s tantrums or your endless to-do list. Grace in the mess is the reminder that God’s love isn’t just for the good days—it’s for the hard, messy, real ones, too.
We created this space to meet you right where you are—whether you're overwhelmed by the never-ending cycle of laundry and dishes or you’re wrestling with the deep calling God has placed on your heart. We get it. We understand the mix of joy and frustration, the quiet prayers in the middle of the night, the feeling that maybe you're not doing it right. We’re here to say—yes, you are.
What We Hope to Offer You
Each week, we’ll be sharing our hearts with you—on everything from the deep spiritual lessons we’re learning in our own journeys, to practical tips to help with the everyday stresses of motherhood. Whether it’s tackling the question of what to make for dinner, finding ways to grow closer to Jesus, or learning to find joy in the messiness of life, we hope you’ll find something that fills your cup here.
Our goal is to make Grace in the Mess a place where you feel loved, heard, and accepted—exactly as you are. No judgment, no “perfect mom” pressure, just real talk and encouragement for the heart of a mama who is doing her best.
You Are Not Alone
We know that sometimes it can feel like the days are dragging and the road is long, especially when it feels like you’re the only one up at 3 am, folding laundry while your baby finally sleeps. But, mama, we’re in this with you. And even though we’re at different points on the journey, we’re walking the same road. We understand what it feels like to give everything you have to your family, and yet still feel like you’re running on empty.
But take a moment right now—take a deep breath—and let this truth sink in: You are doing an incredible job. The Lord sees your heart, and He is with you every step of the way. So, whether it’s a day of chaos or a moment of peace, we want you to know this: You are loved. You are seen. And you are enough.
Let’s Take This Journey Together
We are so excited for the journey ahead, and we can’t wait to walk through it with you. Whether you’re sitting on the couch with a cup of coffee, or you’re knee-deep in a pile of toys, know that this space is for you. A place where you can feel encouraged, uplifted, and supported. A place where the messy moments are met with grace.
We’re praying for you, cheering you on, and believing that God has a beautiful plan for you right in the middle of the mess. So welcome. This is Grace in the Mess, and we’re so glad you’re here.
